Vintage wanderings

Starting to really love bank holiday weekends & the eternal Friday night feeling of possibility. Yesterday was spent half watching the royal wedding & hitting up Ikea. I am reading Elle Decoration way too much & decided to do up my spare room. Just need a Swedish man to come now & put it all together.
Along with some lemon cupcake baking & rockabilly dancing it was a very productive day, if a little domesticated.

After some Vogue reading today, I strolled to Finnieston to have a look at the every changing new shops that keep appearing when I pass. Had a gander in the Think Boutique pop up shop. It is open until May 30th and had some cute prints and dresses. Also liked their deck chair outside. Turned the corner and had a look in Eati boutique, was sorely tempted by their rainbow colored macaroons & quirky print cushions. It got me thinking about dragging my old Singer machine out & making some funky cushions.

I then headed for a vintage wandering in the Merchant City. Taking in Mr Ben's, The City & Tatty Bon around King St. Purchased a cute spotty 80s playsuit from The City. Never very sure that shorts suit me, I am a tea dress girl all the way but thought I would give it a go. Though it might be a little Minnie Mouse for my liking.

I go through phases with vintage but today was one of those days when you see lots of things that seem made for you. Swooned after a Liberty high-waisted skirt in Mr Bens but alas it will have to wait for the long over due payday.

Off to enjoy the sunshine, if only I had a stripey deck chair (will it add to my wish list).
