Some of my inspiration this Monday morning: messed up, effortless hair (the higher it can be piled up the better), big sunglasses to shield the outside world (its Monday after all), casual cardigans & comfy knits, well loved tan brown bags & peter pan collars.

Inspiration bubble
Morning & happy Monday to you. Its a slow start to the day so I started pondering early - where does everyone get their style inspiration from? I do still buy fashion magazines (Harper's Bazaar, Vogue, Elle) but lately I have started to find them more irrelevant when it comes to the inspiration stakes as normally I have seen the trends reported as they happened on blogs & the street fashion that I love is much more easily captured online. I love the mixing of brands & old & new that everyday people do & as much as I see magazines etc try to represent it I never think they get it quite right. So that's my thoughts & I am just throwing it out there but when you are getting dressed in the morning what inspires you?

ReplyDeletethese are all great inspiration pics! I don't know, I still love magazines for all their glossy, gorgeous photos and stories, but it's true that when it comes to inspiration blogs and the Internet are getting much more influential..

@Alison thank you. I do love magazines for plane journeys, bath reading etc I just don't find them as inspirational anymore in the style stakes - definitely agree, i quite often end up thinking I've seen that done better on a blog. x
